AFGHANISTAN SOCIETY OF OBSTETRICIANS AND GYNECOLOGISTS

    • Along with Reproductive health directorate, the Ministry of public health tried hard to minimize maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity rates.
    • The main objectives of this association is to promote the knowledge and professional skills of gynecologist and obstetric doctors, restoration of their rights and their integration to professionalism.
    • This association has more than 500 members across the country in 5 regions (North, South, East, West and Central) and providing health care services for mother and neonata in the governmental and non-governmental health centers. This association could obtain membership of the FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics).

    • Reducing maternal neonatal mortality Rate in afghanistan
    • Active participation in capacity building of OBS/GYN according to global standards. 
      •    Promote health recovery and rights of afghan women and infant.
      •    Ensure to render safe, standard and quality gynecological and obstetrical services in Afghanistan.
      •    Advocates and supports the positive changes in the policy of Reproductive health.
      •    Implements and supports safe and distinct motherhood in all health centers of Afghanistan.
      •    Promote mental health and self care among Afghan women .
